The average person only uses about 10% of his or her brain's potential.
Myth.
This is a tricky one because while your brain is underutilized, there's no way to tell just how much of your brain is used. The human brain has infinite capacity to collect data, store memories, and create new ideas. This means that there's no scientifically agreed-upon method to quantifiably determine how much of our brain's potential we are using. The only thing we know is that we aren't using it all.
Now don't get confused. There is a difference between your brain's potential and the areas of the mind you employ at any given time. Contrary to what some may claim, every part of a healthy brain (100%) is used at some point, but it is impossible to use all of your brain's abilities at the same time.
† It's possible with Prilosec OTC. Use as directed for 14 days for treating frequent heartburn.
